Project Details
The Children’s Village at St. Martin de Porres will be built on a total land area of 27,693.27 square meters on Mission Road, Bonga Menor in Bustos, a province of Bulacan, Philippines. The planning and development of the Children’s Village is being conducted under Father Boyet’s direction by Mark Anthony K. Lo and Jason S. Ang of Anglo Partners & Architects (Anglo) on a pro bono basis. Anglo has also generously agreed to donate its project management services and will supervise construction of the Children’s Village, which is slated for completion in late 2009.
The Children’s Village will consist of the following key buildings:
- Phase 1: Boys’ dormitory
- Phase 2: Girls’ dormitory
- Phase 3: School building
- Phase 4: Common mess hall
- Phase 5: Green house-poultry complex
Financing
The JDVSF has already raised sufficient funds to begin land development and the construction for Phase 1 ground breaking for which occurred on February 20, 2006, the 23rd anniversary of the passing of John D.V. Salvador.The JDVSF assumes full responsibility for the strict disbursement of funds raised for the Children’s Village of St. Martin. The JDVSF is also fully committed to the controlled and efficient use of funds for the sole purpose of helping Father Boyet and Anglo build a better home for the children and volunteers of St. Martin de Porres. Please note that all figures quoted above are based only on general drawings. However, the exact cost of the project shall be known once we have produced the complete land development, architectural, structural, electrical and plumbing drawings.
